FEMS award


The Organising Committee of CMV 2017 is proud to have received a FEMS Meeting Grant. This enables us to support early-career scientists working in Europe who wish to attend the meeting.The deadline for application for a grant was Friday 24 March. Before you fill in the application form please make sure you meet all requirements and have submitted an abstract


An early-career scientist wishing to apply for a FEMS Meeting Attendance Grant should:

  1. be a microbiologist active in research
  2. have either obtained his/her highest academic degree (Bachelor, Masters or PhD) less than five years prior to the application deadline date
    or be a PhD student
  3. be a resident of a European country or a country that has a FEMS Member Society
  4. have been a member of a FEMS member society for at least one full year directly preceding the application deadline
  5. be the presenting author of a paper (oral or poster) 

You MUST state the title of your abstract on the application form. So do not apply for a FEMS award until AFTER you have submitted your abstract.


> Grants will only be awarded to registered conference participants
> Before the end of March you will be informed about the grant.
> Grants will be awarded on-site.
